I absolutely love to decorate with seaside finds. I think as a final touch, it is beautiful to add shells and/or coral to bookcases, on top of books, etc. around the house. In quoting William Morris, "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be Beautiful."
Beautiful table decor
Light seaside feel
Great contrast of the shells with the deep blue bookcase
I love to put shells in my bathroom
I always use a mix of natural elements to my table as decor
For this One Step Paint color mixing project, I wanted to create a darker tone of a Mauve Taupe with brown and purple accents. I used equal parts of the Aubergine, Charm School and Cherbourg to create this beautiful color.
Antique chairs often contain the key characteristics of various styles and periods of furniture manufacture. The particular style of Bergere chairs are one that I love! The definition of a Bergere: a type of upholstered armchair with closed sides; the sides are usually upholstered, but can also be made of cane; built for comfort, it has a long, wide cushioned seat; the back can be high or low, and in shape square, round, curved or conical (flowing without a break into the arms); developed in France ca. 1725, at the end of the Régence period, it flourished throughout the 18th century; characteristic of Louis XV, Louis XVI and other Rococo styles. It is also known as a "wing chair." I have seen many of our customers find old bergeres and rescue them using the Amy Howard At Home One Step Paint®. It is inspiring to see such creativity.
The One Step Paint® is a great product to mix! Although there are many color options, I love to make my own versions though color mixing. For this mix, I used equal parts of Tick Tock and Palm Beach. I was looking for a beautiful Pastel Mint Green which I feel I accomplished!
Beautiful Kitchen with accent of mint green
Fun color combination for a kids bathroom
Laduree has absolutely amazing colors including their entry doors
Simple chair that you could paint with the One Step Paint®
Frames in all shapes and sizes
Again, great color combination
I love the accent in just using the touch of green in this office with the chair
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to a beautiful Fall week! It has been absolutely gorgeous in Memphis. I am always excited to share with you each week, a new set of Before and After projects we have received from our customers. I hope you are inspired to take on your own project!
This bedroom suite was completely transformed using the One Step Paint® and waxes. The retailer shared with us "I used the new color, Linen, but had to mix in a little bit of Mollie Yellow. The client wanted it a little more creamy. The green accent is Vintage Affliction mixed with a little hooker green acrylic because she wanted it a little deeper and greener. The Dark Wax really gave the pieces a nice patina. She was very pleased. Love#onesteppaint."
