I have always been captivated by all things blue and white. The combination is such a timeless, classic look. I enjoy using dead gray and white gesso furniture with very committed patterns of blue and white. Here are several amazing examples of blue and white with cream and gilt. I especially love the French gray color on the trumeau and bed. In Carolyne Roehm's book, A Passion for Interiors. I find a great deal of inspiration from her rooms for my painted furniture designs. I hope you will be inspired by her as well. |

I have to be honest I'm not much of a blue person but could get to like it if I could have that settee with the ticking, it's beautiful!

The delft vases displayed over the upsholstered headboard/bedding makes such a beautiful statement!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of blue and white porcelain, but I don't use it in any other way in my decor. Although, I must admit the upholstered pieces in your images are lovely. I have many of Carolyne Roehm's books and she truly makes blue and white rooms magical.

Swooning over the images... Your insights are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI was just suggesting one of my friend regarding blue and white combination for his home and I think this would be the great example for. I would love to send you link to my friend and hope, he would be happy to get it. I loved all above pieces of furniture and the color combination is really fab. I often prefer white furniture but would love to try the same as shown above.
