I am excited to share with you our Featured Retailer this week, Chalk Mercantile which is a lovely little shop located in Higganum Center, CT filled with furniture and housewares, both antique and vintage.

From Jayne, "Bringing new life to a piece of furniture that would otherwise be thrown away is the driving force behind Chalk Mercantile.  My philosophy is reuse and repurpose.  After searching I found another company that shares my passion, Amy Howard at Home and have brought in her line of paints and products.  After taking the three day workshop at Amy Howard University my passion grew.  There is nothing like being surrounded by others who share your sentiment!  And the Amy Howard products are truly amazing and just perfect for a purest like me.  I came away from that with an arsenal of techniques and products that know no bounds!   I love how I can take a piece of furniture and transform it.  Chalk Mercantile offers Amy Howard at Home workshops and also quilting and embroidery classes. "

Jayne just held her first One Step Workshop this past weekend on Saturday, March 1st. She said it was a lot of fun and that the students were engaged and creative the for all 3 hours!
