Amy: What made you decide to start your own business?
Beth: I started in the computer industry where I ran several companies. I was tired of the crazy commute and long days so I retired...really just quit. I love to pick, that means buy, sell, build and repurpose furniture.  I love vintage finds such as one of a kind eclectic items and architectural salvage.; therefore, I decided to open my business in the back of an antique shop. Currently, I sell my finds at 4 different locations. My love for painting goes back to my early years of taking old hand-me-down furniture and putting new life into it. My favorite pieces include mid century Danish furniture and industrial pieces!!

A: What is your company motto?
B: Throughout my life, my motto has been: surround yourself with what you love.

A: What do you love about having a store?
B:  I truly enjoy mixing different styles and eclectic items into my customer’s homes. That's what I love the most, the unexpected items, such as antique boat back and 100 year old barn doors. Plus, when you add AH paint to the mix it's just crazy fun!! I love meeting all the incredible people in this business everyday. I also do a show once a month where we have over 3000 customers from all over looking for the latest find.

A: What sets you apart for other stores in your area?
B: What I think makes me different is my passion not just for the business but the people and friends I have found along the way. My customers are always waiting for those unique and new finds (let’s just say I do not like to disappoint) and finding those pieces for them is the cherry on top.

A: What is your favorite AHAH product? color?
B: My personal favorite paint is the One Step in Vintage Affliction.

A: I cant live without my...
B: I can not live without... I would say paint brushes but, I have a addiction to lamps and lighting as well.

A: What is your favorite season?
B: My favorite season is summer by far, I live on the lake so it’s always a good time.

A: What is your aesthetic in 3 words?
B: If i could describe my style in three words it would be... eclectic, industrial, and casual.  Make sure your core pieces are nice and throw in a few curve balls.  I think that about covers it!! When your in the Atlanta area swing by for a visit.

  1. I enjoyed three days of training, with Beth, in Memphis. She's a gem and I wish I lived closer, to stalk her shop!
