One Step Paint Colors: Greens and Yellow

Color palette inspiration is huge when working on a project whether it is a painting, room, piece of furniture... I have put together inspiration with using the One Step paint colors: Dunavant Green, Cherbourg, and the Mollie Yellow.

One Step Paint Color Palette:

Inspiration:
I love the great contrast with the Dark Green walls with the lighter green chair and light lamp shade.
The touch of green here really adds to the neutral floral arrangement
Gardens are so inspiring and I love this look
The mix of tones
For a children's room or guest bedroom, I like the use of color on the headboard
The antiqued chest green chest adds character
What about adding color to your front door
Interesting composition of color occurring in nature
The dark green cabinets with the light floor
I love floor to ceiling curtains especially when they are in the same palette at the wall color

Featured Retailer: POP Studios

Our Featured Retailer this week is Pop Studio located in Temple Terrace, Florida owned by Melissa Treadway-Clements. I spoke with her about her store and she shared with me, "It’s rare that two talents combine from the same family and work creatively together. I along with my nephew, Russell Treadway, repurpose, paint and teach with Amy Howard Products. I compliment Russell who has crazy mad skills in designing, electrical, carpentry, and painting while I, who began as a decorative faux artist specialize in decorative wall finishes, Venetian plasters, lustrous metallic plasters , and old world finishes and have always had a gift for transforming old pieces into something new and fresh. One persons trash can be another’s treasure, we have been known to search far and wide for that unique piece to repurpose and love again."

Lacquer Color Inspiration

Color inspiration can come from many different places! I have pulled together a few images that I felt had great color and matched them with our Amy Howard At Home Lacquer color options.

DIY Projects

We are so excited that our website, www.amyhowardathome.com, has a beautiful new redesign! I hope you find inspiration from the many projects we have shared from using the Amy Howard At Home products. I love to inspire others and be inspired so feel free to share with us your projects so we can post them.

How about...
 One Step Paint on Fabric
Clara Ida Frances, Inc.
The Massey Hill One Step Paint was used on Linen using a stencil.

Lacquering your Table and Chairs
Dawn Mixa
The Table and Chairs were sprayed with the Seaside Lacquer
followed by a chalkboard paint for the top surface.

One Step on an Antique Coffee Table
This table was simply painted with Nottaway One Step with Bauhaus Buff accents.
The piece was then antiqued with the Light Wax and Dark Wax.

One Step on a Bench
Victoria's Belle Couleurs
The bench was painted with the Massey Hill One Step Paint.
It was also recovered with a fun, bright fabric.

Lacquer an old Antique Desk
Nena Sexton from NCF Studios
The antique desk was primed with the AHAH Lacquer Primer
followed by the AHAH Belgium Blue Lacquer.
What a great way to restore an old antique desk!

Color Palette Inspiration

I love to use the One Step Paint colors to create a beautiful palette that you could use as inspiration for a room or space that you are decorating/painting. For this palette, I used the Toscana Sage, Rugo, and Credenza One Step Paint colors.

Color Palette:

Inspiration:

Nature at the beach especially when you are looking for a calming palette
I love vintage items such as these glasses
Beautiful detail on an old French antique
Work space that has a very subtle blue.
Great mix of textures here with the Acrylic desk.
Simple touch of the blue painted chairs adds to the dining room environment
I love how the room is very neutral here but the couch has a great color pop!
Nice calm bedroom setting
This room looks more open with the addition of the Antique mirror but I love the neutral blue and cream tones that are used.

I hope you are inspired to start your own DIY Project!
